Reiki

Japan2006Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive technique for stress reduction and relaxation which may help the body to heal itself. It is primarily a practice for self-development and self-healing, but practitioners are able to help others by stimulating the others ability for self-healing.

Reiki originated in Japan in the early 20th century with the work of Mikao Usui. He taught his technique to others and it found its way to the USA before the Second World War. The majority of practitioners in the West use the methods that spread from the US during the 1970s. During the late 1990s many Western Reiki practitioners began to research the origins of Reiki in Japan and this has led to the incorporation of more traditional Japanese techniques into their repertoire. We have studied both Western (Usui Shiki Ryoho) and Japanese (Usui Reiki Ryoho) methods, but we teach traditional Japanese techniques.

Testimonials

‘I just wanted to say again how great I found your first Reiki 1 course and I can honestly say that I loved it. I found that 6 weeks was about the right amount of time and I am so glad that I did not learn this over a weekend like some people do. I found the lessons very relaxed and I felt totally at ease right from the start. ‘ Y.H. West Wickham

‘I really enjoyed the course. It has certainly helped me to relax and become a calmer person in my everyday life.’ B.P. West Wickham

Treatments

Keston winter09 001A full treatment takes around an hour and can be taken sitting in a chair or lying on a couch. It is not necessary to remove any clothing.

At the first appointment it is necessary to take some details, so this appointment generally lasts about 90 minutes. Fee £117

Subsequent appointments last 60 minutes  Fee £97

The most beneficial method is to have a course of treatment, at least 3 appointments, and then have a treatment every couple of months. This way you can maintain the benefits that you get from having Reiki treatment. My care programmes are more cost effective than having single treatments and start at £247 for a 3 session programme.
